Share Invoice Link - shorter URLs and include customer name
Share Invoice Link - use a shorter URL link (e.g. the way tinyurl.com or Youtube uses short links) AND include customer's/patient's name so when pasted, we know the correct link is being sent to the correct customer - it would be disastrous to send one customer's invoice to the wrong customer.

Ability to collapse sub-class codes on reports - horizontal axis
When running reports such as "Profit and Loss by Class" all the accounts and sub-accounts are on the vertical axis and can be expanded and collapses to show all accounts or just the parent accounts.
It would be very valuable to do likewise on the horizontal axis to show all classes or be able to collapse to show just the "parent" classes.4 votes -
Remember the report period when I change reports
When I'm looking at multiple reports I typically want to look at them for the same Report Period. However, whenever I navigate to a new report, the Report Period gets reset to Current Year-to-Date. If you remembered the Report Period when changing between reports it would save me a lot of time.

Location Department tracking in Quickbooks Payroll
You can designate a CLASS in Payroll but we need LOCATION/DEPARTMENT also. I've got two locations at my business and I can't track location for wages.

Remind users via email to refresh their bank connection
Send an email reminder to customers when their bank connection refresh is due, to ensure that all transactions get uploaded.
I didn't log into my account much during 2020 because of the pandemic, and as a result six months of transactions didn't get uploaded to my QB account, which I'm now having to upload manually.
I knew the connection needed refreshed every so often but I thought all transactions would come through no matter how much time had passed. I didn't realise that if you didn't do it every 90 days you risked having missing transactions. Had this been more…

Need to have more options for standard users, more limits!
Choosing "customer" access gives them the ability to change/ edit a previous invoice created by someone else in the company. They can also see A/R, etc. I want my field guys to be able to create/ send an invoice only. I do not want them to be able to access/ see other invoices that they did not create. It's none of their business :-)

Tabbing through data entry
When entering information, especially vendor or customer names or accounts, the vendor, for example, will pop up, but you have to manually click on the name with the mouse to accept it. If I start typing "Home Depot", Home Depot pops up but if you tab to accept it (as you do in QBD), it clears it out and you have to manually type and click with the mouse on the vendor name. If it prefills at the beginning of typing, please make it so the pre-filled name remains there!

Representative Training
Support representatives truly need to be better trained. I have spent countless hours on the phone with support because they have no idea how to help me. I have had support staff tell me things that were absolutely wrong and gave me instructions that were completely misguided. This lack of knowledge causes a huge strain in my ability to perform my job duties; its hard to solve simple problems when the support staff meant to help you constantly gives you incorrect information. Add the ability to add products and services line items to scanned Receipts (Job-Costing)
When processing scanned receipts from the mobile app, add the ability to add products and services line items. We are tracking job cost and break the cost into construction categories like plumbing, lumber, electrical, etc. When we scan a receipt using the mobile feature, the only option I see to categorize it is an expense (COGS).

Quickbooks Online needs to support Quickbooks Self-Employed features.
Many self-employed users need the ability to separate personal transactions from business transactions like Quicken or Quickbooks Self-Employed can, but most also need standard Quickbooks Online features such as the ability to share access with their bookkeeper and accountant, and to print 1099s. Many also need features such as printing checks, and using class and/or location tracking. Why isn't there a Quickbooks version that supports all of these features? Why doesn't regular Quickbooks Online support separating business and personal transactions??? Currently, NONE of the Quickbooks versions meet all of my needs.

Add check number when submitting expenses in the Mobile App
Right now you can't add a check number when entering check expenses (expenses paid by check) in the mobile app - you have to physically enter it in the desktop app.

Add a subtotal option for iOS users
I could use a subtotal option on iOS... I do estimates on my iPad! I do Handyman work... often times my customers have a list of jobs and they want a price for each thing...! As of now, I have to do the multi-project job quotes on my iMac because that is the only thing that can do subtotals.
