  1. Allow for customizing role and functions besides giving full access

    For QuickBooks Online, the current options for permissions by roles, either fixed or custom, does not allow for just selecting view, create, edit, or delete. It only allows for full access. We have users that have specific roles and do not need access to everything. The other preselected roles built-in do not meet our needs.

    Make the Profit & Loss Budget Performance report available for the online version. This is one of the most useful reports and it is disappointing it is not available for QB Online.

  4. Add Ability to Email Packing Slip

    Currently Quickbooks (desktop) only allows for emailing an invoice. Very frustrating. We should be able to email anything, including the packing slip. We don't want our employees or contractors to see our invoices, but we need them to work with the packing slip to pack and ship orders, etc. But you only currently allow emailing the invoice only. Please, please, fix this.

  6. Be able to change billable rate per project per employee

    Companies who are project based need to be able to customize the billable rate for each employee per project. It is not enough to charge a billable rate to a service item as many different staff may work on the same service item. We would have thousands of service items to support this method. I have seen this question asked many times in the forums and do not see a good solution yet.

  8. Allow an Invoice to be converted to Estimate

    I need the ability to take an invoice I've created for a customer, and convert it to an estimate. We need this feature for two reasons:

    1. We want to copy an invoice for a previous job where no estimate was ever created. Saves time by not having to reenter everything.

    2. We accidentally copied an invoice and sent it as an estimate.....and now the "invoice" is showing in our aging reports. We never intended to create an invoice.

    this is IMPORTANT!

  9. Make PO# visible on a linked bill

    Just like the desktop version, I would like to see PO# on its bill without having to click "linked purchase order" on the bill screen

  10. Add Ability To Capture Multiple Page Receipts

    When capturing your receipt photo it should give an option to add additional pages and be able to crop each one as well. About 30% of our business receipts are more than one page!

    This fits under several categories, and applies to both mobile and browser-based QBO interfaces. The idea is for QBO in all its forms (browser, mobile, whatever) to provide an "existing or new" interface for shipping addresses wherever they are used (sales orders, invoices, estimates, etc) that can pull from either a customer-specific list of shipping addresses and/or a global set of known shipping addresses.

    My company is an entertainment production services company. The "shipping address" represents the venue where services are provided. There is a many-to-many relationship between customers and venues. Many different customers may perform at the same venue,…

  12. option to remove permit no. field on bill entry

    Entering a permit no. on bills is not necessary for me. Please add an option to remove this field.

  13. USVI Payroll tax tables

    Quickbooks Payroll should support ALL US states and Territories including the USVI. The package is pretty useless unless I can get support for the Payroll module in USVI.

  14. Better Link Transactions in Mobile: PO to Bill, Estimate to Invoice

    Please keep the function where Purchase Order are link to the bill and vise versa. The same as estimates and invoices. You use to have that function.

  15. Filter profit and loss by "This Financial Year" in the Mobile App

    The app used to allow you to filter the profit and loss by 'THIS FINANCIAL YEAR'. For some reason they removed that option (the most useful one of all). Instead, the available options are 'As of Today', 'This Month', 'This Month to Date', 'This Quarter', 'This Quarter to Date', 'This year', 'This Year to Date', 'Last Month', 'Last Fiscal Quarter', 'Last Financial Year' and 'Custom'.

    I appreciate you can generate a report by selecting 'Custom' and putting in the dates manually. But surely a program designed to track financial transactions should at least have one of the 10 default options…

  17. Emailing Invoices templates

    Hey Guys, there’s a couple of improvements I’d like to suggest:

    1) When constructing the emails to send off the invoices, sometimes the typing gets lost under the keyboard and it becomes very hard to see what you’re typing until you click off the keyboard. And maybe be able to set up our own templates.

    2) I’ve had a number of clients now struggling to find the main invoice (maybe the click to view PDF, isn’t big/clear enough).

    3) Have an option to create quotes using existing items previously used in invoices

    Thanks for reading, hopefully these might get rectified.…

  19. Allow price rules to work in the new invoice/estimate layout

    Without the price rules working in the new estimate/invoice layout we are having to manually look up prices. I considered this a business-critical need and can imagine that many others are suffering from not having the price rules available.

  20. Please fix the issue where creating a new Bill does not automatically fill in the vendor-specific payment terms

    When I click New in the top left corner and choose Bill, the vendor-specific payment terms do not populate once I choose a vendor.
