    I am running a small contracting outfit, me plus two guys, and the part that eats my evenings isnt sending the invoices. Its what lands after.

    Someone pays half. Someone pays two invoices with one transfer and no memo. Someone pays from a bank account thats not the one on file. Then i'm sat at 11pm with the deposits screen open trying to work out which is which, and the checkout side gives me nothing to work with.

    So two asks, and the second one is smaller.

    1) When a payment comes in that doesnt line up cleanly, propose the split. Show me the reasoning - "this looks like inv 1042 plus 1047 minus the 3% fee" - and let me approve it with one tap. Dont just drop it into Undeposited Funds and leave me to figure it out.

    2) Tell the client what the fee is BEFORE they choose ACH or card, on the payment page itself. Right now they pick, they get charged, and then they call me about it. Every time.

    And please, no chatbot. I dont want to have a conversation with my accounting software, i want it to do the matching and be right about it. Thats the bit that actually worries me - a suggestion thats wrong one time in twenty is worse than no suggestion at all, because now i have to verify all twenty by hand anyway. So whatever gets built here, the accuracy target has to be boring-high.
