1. Representative Training

   Support representatives truly need to be better trained. I have spent countless hours on the phone with support because they have no idea how to help me. I have had support staff tell me things that were absolutely wrong and gave me instructions that were completely misguided. This lack of knowledge causes a huge strain in my ability to perform my job duties; its hard to solve simple problems when the support staff meant to help you constantly gives you incorrect information. Also, the time it takes me to get a simple question answered is absurd. Yesterday i called in with what started as a simple question that lead to more than half of my shift being wasted on the phone with a rep that did not even understand my question in the first place and ultimately didn't resolve my issue. Support reps have argued with me on my companies exemption from social security and have asked for paperwork stating our exemption (which i do not need to provide because what our employees are exempt from and what they are not is our responsibility to know). I have just had such an overall terrible experience every time i have to call that support line.

2. Allow more than one person to work in payroll at a time

   The system should allow more than one person to work in payroll at a time. For it to make me wait thirty minutes to get into my employee profiles just because our accountant ran a payroll detail report is ridiculous.

3. improve QBO subscription pages. 

   Just a comment that I think could improve QBO subscription pages.  Before contacting QBO Accountant chat, I went out to QBO Essentials subscription page the video on the top of the page was showing invoices.  It showed billable time and talked about inventory.  That is misleading to prospective customers.  Shouldn't the video on that page only reflect items that come in the QBO Essentials subscription?  Also, at the bottom of the page in FAQ it states one of the difference between Essential and Plus is inventory.  I was just told in online chat that billable expenses were not allowed in Essentials and it was only a Plus or advanced subscription.  It would be great if that was mentioned in the FAQ section or if it would be added to essentials.  I deal with small companies in the service industry that have billable or pass-through expenses and they don't need the inventory.  It would be nice if they had that option in essentials.  

   If I was told incorrectly on the online chat and billable expenses can be utilized in essentials please get back to me.  I don't want to give my prospective customer the wrong information.

5. Can we have an option to customize the Dashboard view according to Sales Classification

   Can we have the option to customize Dashboard view. for We have 3 types of Sales ( Testing,Registration& Academics) .We should have a view of Sales in 3 parts and not in a consolidated mode . similar to Cost of Sales view as well

6. Bank Feed needs to populate with vendor info

   When I select the correct vendor in the bank feed, the account should populate with the most recently used expense account (and tax code!) for that vendor. I shouldn't need to select the right one every single time. I don't understand how this is not obvious. The account fills in automatically if I manually create an expense, which makes it faster to do that than to create an entry off the bank feed. I waste SO much time going back to the Expenses screen to see what expense account/ tax code that vendor was under last time. I have 15 clients, I can't remember this for every single vendor.

   Same thing when using the Receipts function - selecting the vendor name should fill in the rest automatically, based on the last account used for that vendor - not based on some random guess from the quickbooks machine learning universe. This is so frustrating, Hubdoc has this figured out and I can do entries 10x faster using it, but most clients don't want to pay another $25/month for that.

8. Sales Rep option in mobile app!

   I need the option of noting WHO is preparing the invoice in the app. We have multiple guys in the field. The online version has a sales rep option, which is not available in the mobile app. The option to have who did what would be great.

10. Support for .IIF file imports to QuickBooks Online

    On the desktop version I can import my payments from our management software via an IIF file import but for some strange reason QuickBooks Online doesn't support .IIF files. This leaves me stuck with the desktop version of the app. I asked about this feature almost 3 years ago and they said they would work on supporting it in the near future.... still not supported.

12. Receipt-scanning ability to add more than one 'line item'

    Hi,

    I think the receipt-scanning and PC post-editing feature is a great new addition to QBO.

    And my request as below has some overlap perhaps with request 'Add the ability to add products and services line items to scanned Receipts (Job-Costing)', to which I'll add a vote and comment.

    But how about PC post-edit adding the ability to enter more than one 'line item'? Many of my subsistence receipts have a 0% element and 20% element. So I have to enter just the 0% element. Then click View expense in the popup. Quickly, as it disappears after a few seconds. Then add the 20% element line.

    A low-dollar slightly faster alternative to the present, could be to add to the left of the bottom-right green 'Create expense' button, a green 'Create and open expense' button.

17. Products & Services - Report that displays an item's Special Sales Tax Category

    There is currently no way to create a report, in ANY version of QBO, that will list products with their special sales tax category. Currently, the report options only return "Yes" if an item in taxable or may be blank if it doesn't have a category assigned.

    The product/service sales tax category field offers 3 primary options, one of which allows you to "Choose a special category". There is no report that will display this field's value.

    This is a HUGE problem when working with large amounts of product data. Right now verifying data and bulk updating product/service information as it pertains to this field value is not possible in any version of QuickBooks Online.

    How can I verify that my items are coded correctly without opening each individual item? This is extremely impractical when you have hundreds of items to verify/process.

    It would also be amazing if you could actually make changes directly to the Product/Services list rather than only having the option to upload a CSV file.

19. Social Security Expemptions

    We need to have access to remove the social security deduction from an employee in Online QuickBooks. On the desktop version this was very easy and something i could do myself. Now, with online i have to call support every time i get a new employee and ask them to remove the deduction from the employee because the system wont allow me to do it myself. This is extremely frustrating especially when the support staff states they have removed the deduction but in all reality they hadn't, causing issues for my company.
