  1. I would like to have the ability to enter an automatic markup percentage so that when I have to update the cost of a part, it updates list.

    I would like to have the ability to enter an automatic markup percentage so that when I have to update the cost of a part, it automatically updates the list price as well. I am brand new to online from QB Desktop and so far, I am very disappointed.

  2. Autofill Project Name

    Using custom fields when creating an invoice, allow "Project Name" to auto populate project name on the invoice. Having to manually enter it is just another opportunity for mistakes. When the customer has multiple projects under them (see attached), invoicing is done on a project basis, not a client basis. Yet you have to manually enter the project name every time creating the invoice. (see 2nd attached)

    If would be great if we could combine projects when I find that two have been created for the same job. We can't job cost with this error.

  4. Add a Project Name field to Estimate & Ability to enter mark-up % or $

    Two great additions to Estimates would be to have a fileld labeled "Project" so it can be tracked and separated from the customer's name if desired.

    As a general contractor we want to send an estimate to the customer's nmae, but we name our projects based on the street name address. Our work-around for this has been to enter the Customer as street name: MILTON 1377
    The problem is we do not want the estimate to be addressed to MILTON 1377 instead of Jane Doe.

  5. A user role that can review, approve, match, and edit transactions, but not be able to see my bank account Balance

    I would like a user role that can review, approve, match, and edit transactions, but not be able to see my bank account and credit card balances.
    I'm ok with my bookkeeper reviewing, matching, and categorizing transactions, but they shouldn't know how much money I have in my businesses bank account.

  6. Alphanumeric sorting of products sold on an invoice

    It would be efficient if you gave us the option to sort products sold alphanumerically on invoices and sales orders. Not only would it help the seller compare physical products to the invoice it would make it easier for the buyer (recipient) to compare the invoice to product received.

  7. Invoice and Sales Receipt Number

    Under the current setting, we can only enable or disable the number feature. Once it's on, QB will automatically assign a number for the invoice and sales receipt. In most situation, we have different number sequence for invoice and sales receipt. We would like to have an option to leave the number field blank and manually add one when we need instead of auto assigning an number by the system.

  9. Bonus Payroll - Provide checkboxes to turn off employee notifications and to print checks instead of Direct Deposit

    Bonus payrolls need to be able to print checks instead of process as direct deposit and block employee email notifications. These should both be check boxes or options when processing Bonus Only payrolls.

  11. Add ability to edit packing slip and add a column for backordered items for QuickBooks Online

    Currently there is no way to add a fillable column to an invoice outside of the few default options. Additionally there is no way to customize the packing slip and make note of items that are currently out of stock. This makes it very difficult to communicate to customers what they are actually receiving in a shipment to hand write notes on the packing slip. This makes the packing slip look very unprofessional and makes tracking items that need to still be shipped nearly impossible without creating a manual system.

  12. Allow different email addresses for project invoicing

    Please allow project invoices to go to different emails than regular client invoices. We send our clients monthly invoices and have their email addresses set up in their contact information (main contact email and accounts payable email). The problem arises when we are working on a project for that client and they want the invoice to go to different people than our normal invoices. We have to make sure we change the email addresses on every project invoice. I wish there was a way to connect email addresses to the project so we don't have to remember to change them…

  14. For Non profits, Projects should be separate from Customers. So different customers can leave a pledge to different projects that you have

    For Example: Our non profit wants to build a visitors center - the project would be Visitors center. But Customers should be able to donate or pledge to this project. Expenses should be able to be billed to this project.

    The way it is now, a customer cannot make a pledge to a project. (We use classes for funds so we cannot utilize this for projects)

  16. Customizing business information on checks

    I want to be able to include our business information on the checks when we print them using QBO. I have a bunch of blank checks that I do not want to waste by having to order pre-printed checks with this information. It should be a pretty easy software update to allow your customers to do this.

  17. Undo entire reconciliation, not just individual items

    It would be really good if you could undo an entire reconciliation on QBO. I am having to go back to Nov 2021 to sort a problem out and the only way I have been told I can do this is by unreconciling each individual transaction in the cash register. Apparently if I had an accountant they could undo complete reconciliations but we're a small company and I'm the closest thing we have to an accountant!

    Too late for me this time but pleeeeeeeeeease make this change so that we can undo entire reconciliations all in one go.

  18. Assign or unassign payroll pay schedules to multiple employees at once.

    We should be able to go into Gear menu> Payroll Settings> Select 'Pay Schedules' and see our default pay schedule and click on it to see all employees assigned to that payschedule. There should be an option to unassign or assign employees to a new schedule without having to go into each separate employee and select the new schedule on the drop down. It should be a setting in Payroll Settings.

  20. Ability to switch Header/Title view from 'Layperson's' to 'Accounting' terms

    I understand the need to simplify the terminology for the non-bookkeeper user or business owner. As a bookkeeper, I actually find it confusing to navigate QBO with the over-simplified terminology! I would definitely appreciate the option to select an 'Accountant' view. The column headers in Bank Feed (and Cash Flow Money In/Money out) could switch to Receipts and Disbursements instead of Spent and Received. Why are they using the term Sales Form? What happened to Invoice? Did everyone forget what that is? In Expenses, not sure why there is a difference between bills and expenses?? aren't bills an expense too??…
