1. Estimate Subtotal Headings

   Hello QBO Online team - I'm posting this in the mobile section because I'm having a tough time finding where to create a new idea in the QBO Online forums, I hope it reaches the right people.

   It would be very helpful to add a feature that allows the user to create headings within the content of an estimate. If a job has multiple parts, it can be hard in the current format to delineate between them.

   The subtotal function is good, but it would be more useful if the user were able to title or give a heading to each subtotal section.

   For instance, if I owned a landscaping company, and was approached by a business with multiple locations for an estimate, subtotals with headings would allow me to create a single estimate that encompassed all of the work I would do for each of those locations. If the business decided they only wanted me to work on one or two of the locations, it would be very easy for them to see which location cost what amount.

   At the moment, the simplest thing to do is to create multiple estimates, which can look unwieldy and unprofessional.

3. Employee IRA contribution direct deposit

   It would be nice to be able to set up direct deposit for employee contributions into their simple IRA accounts. Currently, there is only the option for deducting the contributions but not actually sending them to their IRA accounts. It would be nice if it would automatically deposit the amounts into their accounts just like their payroll.

8. Put certification number and expiration date on certificates for ProAdvisors

   Pro Advisors certification certificates does not look legit. There is no certification number nor an expiration date on certificates that are suppose to be certifications. Please add this as they are certifications and not regular certificates.
   Secondly, can we recertify every 2 years instead of yearly?

10. Renaming "Customers" to "Suppliers"

    I would like to be able to rename "Customers" to "Suppliers." We are a travel agency, so we don't have customers paying us. We have suppliers (i.e. hotels and other partners) that pay us commission based on the bookings we make for our clients (travelers). Those suppliers are who we create invoices for.

11. Make it easier for credit/overpayment refunds to be entered on QB

    The work around that needs to be done when you issue a refund or receive a refund/credit refund on QB is too complicated for anyone without accountancy training. It’s fine to do as an accountant, as we understand the double entry processes that need to be put through, but trying to explain all the transactions that need doing when a client wants to do this themselves can cause huge problems and takes much longer to explain than if we just did it for them!! Can’t QB create a refund credit/overpayment option that does all the transactions/journals in the background (in the same way invoices and payments get processed)? It would make life so much easier….

    My company recently converted from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. I am the finance director of my company. I report the budget to actual numbers monthly along with our performances. The desktop version allowed me to compare budget to actuals by class to determine if we came in over or under budget. Now with QBO, I don't have that feature of having a budget to actuals report by class. The class we use as our performances. We have over 35 performances per year in the orchestra. Is there a work around for this? This seems like this should be a feature that would be included in Quickbooks Online. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you

14. Enable users to manage "business purpose" in mileage

    Please enable users to edit/manage "business purpose" under business mileage categorization. I would like to be able to delete redundant and obsolete purposes from the drop down list.
    (It's also not possible from the desktop site - I just spent an hour w/support to learn this.)

15. Drivers license info fields in payroll

    It would be nice to have fields for drivers license information in the employee profile. So many employers use drivers license information for I-9 verification of citizenship and also for insurance purposes, so fields for DL number, state, and expiration date would be helpful.

    I hope all is okay with you. I've been having trouble with QuickBooks Payroll lately, and the error code is 40003. My ability to effectively calculate payroll is being hampered by this inaccuracy, which is causing delays in my payroll processes.

19. Linking chat box to pages

    Is is fantastic to have online agent to assist on uploading bills to QB. However sometimes it is difficult to get back to a chat screen after getting company information from other pages as chat box closes or disappears. I had to get it done after six attempts.

20. Taxable customer reports

    We need to be able to sort ALL sales reports, sales item reports by if the customer is taxable or exempt. Some items are non taxable for both, but do need to be reported separate on each tax line. Such as reimbursments and permits etc. We have no way to do this other than to go through each individual invoice and determine if the entire invoice is taxable or non taxable. It should be easy to add this customer field to customize options in the reports.
