Option to upgrade to the new Estimates/invoice layout
I spent 2 hours speaking to representatives about this issue. The goal is to send an estimate, have the customer accept the estimate online, and have a deposit requested automatically.
The OLD invoice layout does not allow this. The new one does. There is no way to upgrade from the old one to the new one. The representative suggested i create a new QBO account, which I did, and it had the new layout. Then i would need to backup all of my data from the old account and move it over manually. Its crazy to request that from a customer, when there could just be an option to use the new template. On top of that, the NEW account i made, reverted back to the old template after creating a few estimates so it ended up being a useless venture. PLEASE let me upgrade to the new template!I spent 2 hours speaking to representatives about this issue. Need more customization options for new invoice format
I've seen several forum posts about issues with invoice formatting, some aesthetic and some more function based. So I'd say overall, there just needs to be a better way for each company to build it's own invoice format.
For us, we wish that there were more design options, and we really wish that we could remove the "Ways to pay" graphic with the credit card icons. For us it feels unprofessional and gimmicky. The default email message also felt super gimmicky. Using a subject line with the phrase "new payment request from ___" makes is sound like a phishing scam.

Need to be able to change "Amount Type" after initially creating new product.
I decided to finally rip of the band-aid, so to speak, and start using the new invoicing format. I'm frustrated with a lot of the changes and find it generally very cluttered, but the biggest problem that I'm having has to do with the "amount type" selection when making a new product within an invoice. This option seems to be available ONLY when making a new product from within an invoice and not when making a new item from the products page. There is an option for "amount type" that allows you to chose either flat rate, unit, or hours. I made the mistake of overlooking this option when as I was creating some of my items and accidentally left them on "flat rate" rather than choosing "unit". I only sell physical products, so I really need my invoices to list the quantity and unit price of each item, but because I accidentally chose "flat rate", it only shows the total sum for those items. I cannot find a way to edit this "amount type" anywhere or make any other changes within QB so that the quantity and unit price appear on my invoice. This is so frustrating and poses a major problem for my buyers. Most buyers send purchase orders, so they need to check that the quantity and unit price match their PO. I don't want to delete the items or duplicate them because we already have a dense product catalog and want our sales reports to be as clean as possible. I just need to edit that amount type!

View ALL transactions in a project including checks
Previously when opening a project, by default we would see a list of all transactions within the last year for that one project.
However, it seems now under Transactions, the most you can filter is All Sales, which excludes checks from being shown.
In order to show the checks, we now must filter using the "Check" option, which will only show us just the checks. There is now no way to actually see ALL the transactions for one project on one single page.

Multiple Shipping Addresses
I'm on QB Online Advanced and I received this link. It seems to be Modile even though the header says Online. As I research switching my entire operations to QB Online Advanced I find that unless creating a "sub-customer" that a customer can only have ONE SHIPPING ADDRESS. This is a BIG PROBLEM! We sell to office supply wholesalers, or even large retail customers, who drop ship to many different locations. It is cumbersome to set up "sub-customers" when all I want is to add a simple shipping address under my customer. I've had 4 proprietary programs in our small industry that I've leased since 1992 and each one had the ability to list multiple shipping addresses. Yet software leading QB is limited to ONE ADDRESS? Huh!?!?

Need Ability to Create 2 Late Fee Streams
Need the ability to create 2 separate late fee items. My client has a late fee policy for tenants of $50 after a 5 day grace period AND $5/day. Should be a very easy update. Most platforms I've used already have this option.

Better Communication
We've been asking for an update on an investigation number since Friday 7/14/23. The only update we have received is "they are working on it" It has been well over a week. Our whole accounting system is down. The previous tech in the chat tried to help. Today Din would not and refused to connect me with someone from the department handling our case. Stated they could not. But the customer service reps on 7/17 & 7/19 could not. All I received was this link to post in. We have been beyond patient with the issue we are having. It's coming up on month end & a payroll week. We have been a customer for many years, and all we are asking for is update on the issue at hand and estimated date when our accounting will be back up and running.

Brake Fluid Change: A Comprehensive Guide
Brake Fluid Change: A Comprehensive Guide
To ensure your vehicle's safety and operational efficiency, regular maintenance is crucial. One aspect often overlooked but critical to your car's braking system is the brake fluid. This article will delve deep into the world of brake fluid changes, exploring the importance of this procedure, signs that indicate it's time for a change, the cost involved, and more.
1. The Importance of Brake Fluid
Brake fluid plays a vital role in your vehicle's braking system. Acting as the lifeblood of your brakes, it's responsible for transmitting the force of your foot on the brake pedal to the brake discs or shoes, allowing your vehicle to slow down or stop.
1.1. The Role of Brake Fluid
Like oil for your engine, brake fluid is critical for your vehicle's safety. It operates under high temperatures and pressures, withstanding rigorous conditions while maintaining its properties.
1.2. Hydraulic Braking System
Modern vehicles predominantly use hydraulic brakes for slowing and stopping. Here, the brake fluid (also known as hydraulic fluid) comes into play. Over time, however, this fluid can become contaminated.
2. Contamination of Brake Fluid
Even though the hydraulic brake system is sealed, the brake fluid can become dirty and contaminated over several years of normal use.
2.1. Causes of Contamination
There are several causes of brake fluid contamination. The additives in the brake fluid may wear out over time, or moisture can find its way into the hydraulic brake system and start to affect the brake fluid chemistry.
2.2. Effects of Contaminated Brake Fluid
Contaminated brake fluid can dramatically impact your brakes' performance. You may notice a spongy feeling when you step on the pedal, or your vehicle may not stop as quickly when making a hard stop.
3. Signs You Need a Brake Fluid Change
Recognizing the signs that your vehicle needs a brake fluid change is crucial to maintaining its optimal performance and safety.
3.1. Soft, Spongy, or Bouncy Brake Pedal
A soft, spongy or bouncy brake pedal is a common sign that a brake fluid change is due. If you need to press the brake pedal all the way down before your vehicle slows or stops, it's time for a brake fluid check.
3.2. ABS Dashboard Light
The ABS dashboard light indicates an issue with your anti-lock braking system. If this light comes on, it could be a sign that your brake fluid is low and needs replacing.
3.3. Ineffective Braking Performance
Any delays or difficulties while slowing or stopping could indicate a need for a brake fluid change. Other potential issues could be warped rotors, worn brake pads, or a problem with another brake system component.
3.4. Strange Noises or Smells when Braking
Unusual sounds or burning smells while braking could be due to low brake fluid or another brake system issue. If you notice these signs, it's best to get your vehicle checked by a professional.
4. Brake Fluid Change Frequency
Knowing how often to change your brake fluid is also essential. Most manufacturers recommend replacing your brake fluid every two to three years or every 45,000 miles, whichever comes first.
4.1. Manufacturer's Recommendations
Each vehicle manufacturer may have different recommendations for brake fluid change intervals. Therefore, it's best to refer to your vehicle's owner manual for precise information.
4.2. Visual Check
You can also perform a visual check of the brake fluid yourself. If the fluid looks dark or murky, it's time for a brake fluid change.
5. Types of Brake Fluid
There are several types of brake fluid available, including D.O.T. 3, D.O.T. 4, and D.O.T. 5. Each type has its pros and cons, and the type of brake fluid your vehicle needs will depend on its make and model.
5.1. D.O.T. 3 and D.O.T. 4 Fluid
Many vehicles call for either D.O.T. 3 or D.O.T. 4 fluid. These brake fluids have been around for a while and are trusted by several vehicle manufacturers.
5.2. D.O.T. 5 Fluid
D.O.T. 5 fluid is a newer variant and has several advantages. It doesn't eat paint or absorb moisture, making it a great improvement over its predecessors. However, because it doesn't absorb water, any water that enters your brake system can form pools that can corrode your brakes.
6. Changing Brake Fluid: DIY Approach
Changing brake fluid yourself is possible, but it requires some mechanical know-how and the right tools.
6.1. Tools and Materials
To change your brake fluid, you'll need a baster for removing the old fluid and some lint-free cloth for wiping out the reservoir. You'll also need fresh brake fluid and possibly a brake fluid test kit.
6.2. The Process
The process involves removing the dirty fluid from the master cylinder reservoir, cleaning it, and refilling it with fresh brake fluid.
7. Professional Brake Fluid Change Services
Service facilities now use brake flushing machines to change brake fluid.
7.1. Brake Fluid Flushing Machines
These machines flush and replace the brake fluid in your brake system, ensuring a thorough and efficient process.
7.2. Professional Recommendations
If there's no recommendation in your vehicle's owner manual about how often to change brake fluid, you can consult a professional technician for guidance.
8. Brake Fluid Change Cost
The cost of a brake fluid change can vary depending on your vehicle's make and model and the service provider. However, it's generally affordable and much less expensive than the cost of replacing brake system components damaged by contaminated brake fluid.
9. Routine Maintenance for Brake Fluid Changes
Routine maintenance is key to keeping your vehicle running smoothly. On average, a brake fluid change is recommended every 2 years or 30,000 miles, depending on your driving patterns. In case, you are looking for a trusted tyre repair shop, we would like to suggest you Service My Car, the best and trusted tyre repair shop in the town.
10. Conclusion
A brake fluid change is a crucial part of vehicle maintenance. Whether you choose to do it yourself or opt for professional service, regular brake fluid changes will ensure your vehicle's safety and optimal performance. So, don't wait for signs of trouble. Keep your brakes in top shape with timely brake fluid changes.

Estimate Subtotal Headings
Hello QBO Online team - I'm posting this in the mobile section because I'm having a tough time finding where to create a new idea in the QBO Online forums, I hope it reaches the right people.
It would be very helpful to add a feature that allows the user to create headings within the content of an estimate. If a job has multiple parts, it can be hard in the current format to delineate between them.
The subtotal function is good, but it would be more useful if the user were able to title or give a heading to each subtotal section.
For instance, if I owned a landscaping company, and was approached by a business with multiple locations for an estimate, subtotals with headings would allow me to create a single estimate that encompassed all of the work I would do for each of those locations. If the business decided they only wanted me to work on one or two of the locations, it would be very easy for them to see which location cost what amount.
At the moment, the simplest thing to do is to create multiple estimates, which can look unwieldy and unprofessional.
Please add this if it's possible! Thanks very much!
