Ability to charge credit card fee to cover fees, without Quickbooks charging extra on the amount to cover the fees.
Credit card fees are really challenging for small businesses. We need a way to charge an optional credit card convenience fee. Right now, Quickbooks calculates their fees on the total amount of the invoice. This means that Quickbooks charges a fee on top of the customer paying extra to cover the credit card fee!

please stop voiding checks retro active to the check date. its causes major issues when clients void prior year checks. voided checks should be as of the void date prospectively. This is a major issue that can be easily solved!!!

Put Manufacturer's part number in products and services
there was a field for Manufacturer's part number in desktop and there is not in online. We used this to track with the OEM part number. We don't always use the same vendor and have our own part numbers so this was a way to track and cross reference with the OEM part number.

Approve time at different pay rates
Employees working same job, same day but at different rates need to have their time approved at the specific rate. For example, employee works 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The 'night shift pay' starts at 1:00 AM (we have out employees clock out and back in so 1-6 am is a separate time entry for approval). We need the ability to approve the night shift at the lower night pay rate. Currently unable to do this which is a big concern.

I am using Quickbooks online. I have recently transferred from Quickbooks Desktop. In the Desktop, it has a preference to set todays date as the default. Can you make it an option in Quickbooks Online.
I will be inputing bills into the system and a customer will walk in and I forget that the date has changed from the last thing that I posted.

Sales Tax Based on location is necessary for service at location businesses
As of 5/8/2024 I lost the ability to apply sales tax rates based on location of our customer. This is a needed feature for a service based business, such as a electrician, where we travel to the customers location and they are required to pay sales tax based on their location not our place of business. The new form does not allow me to do what I've done the past year to type in location and then QB calculates their sales tax. I can now only first determine customers sales tax rate then override the sales tax that QB wants…
