Communicate the 122% price increase of the direct deposit fee with the payroll administrator
I was shocked to realize that the direct deposit fee went from $1.75 per DD transaction to $4.00 per DD transaction-a 122% price increase! As the listed payroll administrator-I did not receive any communication regarding this price hike and felt blindsided when I went to do the weekly payroll. Very frustrated at the lack of communication and the exorbitant rate increase. Considering canceling our payroll subscription.

Allow you to have payroll deducted in 1 total amount instead of debiting each employee check amt.
Quickbooks should allow you to have payroll debited as 1 total amount. I think you should still have somewhere to be able to few in reports or paycheck lists etc the amounts of each check to be able to compare to insure the numbers are correct but I would like the option to have payroll debited from my bank account as 1 total amount. I do not want to have 18+ check amounts debited individually. It makes account balancing daunting and more time consuming. Expense Claims
When adding details to the receipt the employee can request reimbursement. But then I have to touch every transaction to code it to the vendor associated to the user. Is there a way to link the two?
Same question for credit cards - if the employee does not request reimbursement I have to code to the associated credit card account.
Split transactions - it appears only one category can be associated to an expense. That would mean the employee would enter two transactions for the same expense (an example is sales tax).

Quickbooks Online Payroll - Autosubmitted Our W-2s
I don't know how it happened, but I was trying to file our W-2s and they weren't appearing in the Payroll Tax Center as all help/troubleshooting/support was guiding and telling me to go (I've been doing this for 12 years, and it's always there).
Got to talk to Remi via the online support chat, and they asked me to log out and log back in (which I had previously done twice before contacting the customer support chat).
I reluctantly log back out and log back in, and the W-2s appeared in the Payroll Tax Center!
BUT, they were automatically filed…

Option to warn when a Location isn't assigned when Track Locations is enabled
"Track Locations" should have the same "Warn me when a transaction isn’t assigned a class" as "Track Classes" does. If you don't add a location to every transaction you'll end up with a lot of "not specified" entries so I don't want anyone to accidentally forget to put it in.

Option to turn off additional Intuit service offers
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue.
I find it incredibly frustrating that there is no way to permanently turn off banners/popups/offers for Intuit's upselling features and services. In the preferences area, there are ways to turn off marketing emails. But still...every time I log in to QBO, I am bombarded with payroll services and more.
As I am already paying a monthly subscription fee, I find it insulting that it isn't enough for you and you want to take more of your users' money.
I am overall very disappointed in QuickBooks online, and will likely cancel…

Automatic Locations on payroll checks and Liabilities
On payroll checks and Liability it does not automatically populate the LOCATION of the employee even though they are tagged to the location. seems like that would be easy to add to the location set up area for the employee - It is HORRIBLE having multiple locations to go in and manually do it to be able to create correct financials for Locations!

Allow View Register Action for All Chart of Accounts
I come from a background of using QB Desktop for many years and began using QBO in 2023. I am frustrated at not being able to view the register for many of my accounts. On the Chart of Accounts page, the View Register action is not available for those accounts. I can't see a pattern as to which accounts can be viewed and which cannot. Income and expense account types perhaps? It seems as though Intuit product managers have gone too far in dumbing down QBO. What good reason could there be for that limitation? Allow users to update Tax rate even if below .13%
When attempting to update my annual State Employment tax rate, the system would not allow me to enter a rate below .13%, however my Virginia rate for 2024 was .1%. I had to contact support to get them to enter the rate. While they did this for me, this took way too much time for something I should have been able to do on my own. Please consider removing or modifying the tax rate range edit.

New invoice format isn't working!!! Customization not working at all.
I can't add items to bundles via drag and drop like I used to. The customer messages at the bottom are saved in my custom form settings but don't show up in the actual invoices. The payment terms section is also blank even though I have saved them in the settings as well.
This new modern format is a disaster and no amount of trying to fix it on my end is working. This has added 5x the amount of time and effort I have to put into ALL invoices that I need to send. UNACCEPTABLE QUICKBOOKS!9 votes -

Fix the invoices input in app
On the mobile app, Samsung note, the quickbooks online app had an update. Prior to the update, invoices were able to have numbers and letters which was very helpful. I submit invoices to a home builder that likes to have the invoices as the home addresses. Under the new update, only numbers are able to be inserted. Please fix this. On the desktop site it's still operational, but I need to do invoices on the go.
