Auditor Access
Similar to the "accountant" role, Quickbooks Online should have a view only access user/role which encompasses all reports and activity and audit log but no edit abilities for for company Auditors, Board members, Executives, or any other proper personnel associated with a company that should be given full access to the books with no risk they'll accidently manipulate the data.

QuickBooks Online definitely needs a secure view only role for auditors and executives to review reports without risking data changes. It’s like spectating in s8game full visibility zero. https://plus1scripts.net

Great idea—auditor access should be fully view-only for better transparency and control.
This feature for “y999” would really improve security and trust in QuickBooks usage.

I run Zerzura Experiences, a premium desert adventure company in the UAE, and QuickBooks Online sits at the center of how we manage our finances day to day. We use it for everything from tracking bookings and supplier payments to reviewing performance and closing our monthly accounts.
As the business scales, we often need to give visibility to external auditors, advisors, and partners who simply need to review financials, reports, and activity history. What’s missing right now is a true read-only access option. While the Accountant role comes close, it still allows changes that we’re not always comfortable opening up to non-internal users.
A proper view-only role with access to reports, dashboards, and audit logs but no ability to edit or adjust anything would make a big difference. It would let us share information confidently, protect the integrity of our data, and streamline collaboration with stakeholders.
For businesses like ours that care deeply about financial control and transparency, this would be a genuinely useful addition. I hope the team considers introducing a feature like this in future updates.

That’s a solid suggestion. A true view-only auditor role would really help reduce risk while still giving stakeholders full visibility into reports and activity logs. In other tech communities, including performance and automation tools like Delta Executor https://deltaxar.com/, limiting access to critical actions while allowing monitoring is a common way to avoid accidental changes and keep systems stable. Bringing a similar permission model to QuickBooks Mobile would improve trust, usability, and data integrity for auditors and executives alike.

As the owner of ESA Tours, a Dubai-based adventure tourism company, we rely on QuickBooks Online to manage everything from customer bookings to vendor payments and monthly financial reporting.
Quite often, we need to provide access to external auditors, board members, or executive partners who must review our financial reports and audit logs. However, QuickBooks currently doesn’t offer a dedicated “view-only” role that gives complete visibility without edit permissions.
A role similar to the Accountant view — but strictly read-only — with access to reports, dashboards, and activity logs (while preventing edits) would be incredibly valuable. It would enhance transparency, reduce risks, and make collaboration with stakeholders much smoother.
We kindly request that you consider adding this feature, as it would greatly benefit small businesses like ours that prioritize both security and clear financial oversight.

Just like the Accountant role, a view-only user role that includes full access to reports, activity logs, and dashboards (but with zero ability to edit) would be extremely useful. It would reduce risk while keeping stakeholders informed.
Please consider adding this feature. It would be a big help for small businesses like ours that need secure, transparent collaboration.

Ever struggled giving auditors read-only access to reports? Absolutely! I once had to create a whole new user group and custom permission set just to prevent accidental data modification while allowing access for compliance checks. Was it painful?

Totally agree QuickBooks Online really needs a true view-only role for auditors and execs. Just like in a SoundBoard setup, where sound buttons offer access without altering the original clips, finance tools should protect data integrity.
