Receipt Upload for Limited-Access users in QBO/Mobile App (User Management)
The mobile app will not allow Users with limited account access to utilize the mobile app. only those users with access to all features of Online. Employees who only need access to expenses should be able to use mobile app to upload receipts

It's frustrating that QuickBooks Online restricts receipt uploading via the mobile app to users with https://incredibox-game.io/home full access, leaving employees with limited access and unable to manage expenses efficiently despite their need to handle receipts.

Wow! It's 2024 and I can't believe this is still an unresolved issue for something that seems simple enough and should be an absolute minimum requirement for a paid service with today's technology. Literally, the ONE thing I updated to the Advanced subscription for was to allow employees to submit their expenses and had every right to expect that this option would include access to the mobile app and the ability to snap a receipt on a mobile device.
The only way I've found to allow a user to snap a receipt in the mobile app (found through a Reddit thread and not through QB support which is ridiculous) is to set users up with the Standard Limited Customers and Vendors or Standard Limited Vendors Only roles. However, this is truly not a workable solution for expense submitters because there is no way to change the permissions to restrict access to areas I would not want an employee to view or potentially change. Expense submitters should not have access to view, edit, or review expenses submitted by others nor any other information not directly related to their submitted expense.
Why can the Expense Submitter role not have the same access/restrictions in the mobile app as the web version? All they need is expense claim submission and an option to snap a receipt. We should not be forced to allow access to other private financial or sensitive information just to allow them the ease of snapping a receipt for upload.
If there is a way to do this currently, it is not an obvious option and needs to be included in the help directory.

I wonder if anyone is reading these.
For over 2 years users have been asking for your to fix the upload receipt feature access. I need my employees to be able to upload receipts and not have access to anything else in my QB account. You added this feature but it is not worth anything because the only person who can use it are admins.
When will this be fixed?

When will this be fixed. I can see its been raised for almost 18 months. My clients need to snap receipts without having access to all the other features

i want to be able to send my customer a receipt by email. this app is useless for me without this option, so I'll now have to find and use a different app.

I want my boss to upload receipts on the road but she doesn't want access to all of Quickbooks on her phone. An "receipt only" app or a way to restrict the current app settings to "receipt only" would be helpful.
