  2. Duplication of running invoice number on QuickBooks

    QuickBooks allows only one user to create the invoice to prevent the duplication of number. But, in case of our business which has many operation locations (Many users), they have created the invoice at the same time and run with the duplication of invoice number. The option that we got from you is to manually edit. But we do not want to manually edit to prevent any kind of errors. The system developer should have considered my concern.

  6. Prevent Duplicate Invoices with Smart Detection

    QuickBooks needs better duplicate detection for invoices so we do not have to manually check each one. Right now, there is no system in place to prevent duplicate invoices from being created, which leads to billing errors, wasted time, and potential financial discrepancies.

    If a job has already been created with a similar description for the same civic address and job type, such as 123 Main St with a monthly contract for January 1 2025, QuickBooks should automatically detect this and warn the user before creating a duplicate invoice.

  7. Improve Invoice Search Filtering

    QuickBooks search is too limited. We need the ability to search invoices using multiple custom description fields at once, such as civic address and job type. Right now, if I search for an address, I get every invoice for that location, even ones unrelated to what I need. If I search for a job type, I get hundreds of results instead of being able to narrow them down.

    There should be an advanced search function that allows users to combine multiple fields. For example:

    • Civic address 123 Main St + Job Type
    • Civic address 456 Elm St + Service Call

    Hi there, can you turn on the bulk upload feature for Credit Notes please? The only options I am shown are in the international online edition are Bank Data, Customers, Suppliers, Chart of Accounts, Products and Services, Invoices and Bills. Thanks

  9. Unbelieveable that Desktop Pro Plus does not allow for alternate shading lines on Proposals and Invoices

    When you have an Invoice or Proposal with lines and lines of items it is unacceptable that Quickbooks doesn't offer the option of alternating shaded lines.
    We and our customers are reduced to using a ruler to go thru the items.

  10. There is a problem entering 3rd party Disability Pay in New Jersey

    There is a problem with entering New Jersey 3rd party disability pay. The line item for "disability addition" is categorized as "compensation", however while it is "taxed" for federal wages it is NOT taxed by New Jersey. Therefore the W2 at the end of the year is wrong for New Jersey Compensation. There needs to be a special category created for entering 3rd party disability pay for New Jersey users.

  16. customize customer statements

    Users should be able to customize statement forms for customers with outstanding balances the way we can customize invoices, estimates & sales receipts. Right now it's only one standard template but not all business are equal. The word "statement" on the current template doesn't allow for my business address to show when mailing the form in a window envelope. Also, the margins are way off & my business name gets cut off at the top of the statement when I print it.

  17. I would prefer to have your account number so I can send the payment there instead of giving you my account number

    If possible we prefer to pay bills from our side. Instead of putting our account number in your interface we prefer to have the account number to be deposited to appear on your bill, and that way we can send money from our account to yours.

    Customers have been asking for it for years in your forums.
    ADD AUTOSAVE to your invoice/statements, this is ridiculous, I lose more money than your dam subscription, when it logs out and doesn't save an invoice and I don't notice it.

  20. custom reports

    I would like the ability to create custom reports with more options. I tried to create a report I needed for an employee census for our 401k. The columns I needed were name, SSN, DOB, hire date, term date, gross income, total hours worked for the year. Despite being assisted by a customer service rep, I was not able to create the report because there weren't enough options for me to choose from for employees. As I now have to provide this report quarterly it would be great if I could create this report for employees on one report.
