   We had an item custom field set up in desktop to identify the bin location of each item. Online does not allow for custom item fields nor has a location field. This is critical in maintaining inventory. Please build this feature into the Online version.

7. Put Manufacturer's part number in products and services

   there was a field for Manufacturer's part number in desktop and there is not in online. We used this to track with the OEM part number. We don't always use the same vendor and have our own part numbers so this was a way to track and cross reference with the OEM part number.

    There is no way to let the SKU or ITEM NAME appear in the "Cost of Goods Sold Report" in QuickBooks Online (QBO), if any user wants to review the variation in cost or for any other purpose. It just lets you to display Memo/Description which doesn't fulfill the need/requirement of user. So there should be an option through which a user can tick mark SKU or ITEM NAME so that it can be downloaded in the report.

    Whereas, in "Sales by Product/Service Report" in QuickBooks Online (QBO), it just shows the Sales Price but not the Cost Price so this report can't be use as an alternative for the criteria mentioned above.

19. Products & Services - Report that displays an item's Special Sales Tax Category

    There is currently no way to create a report, in ANY version of QBO, that will list products with their special sales tax category. Currently, the report options only return "Yes" if an item in taxable or may be blank if it doesn't have a category assigned.

    The product/service sales tax category field offers 3 primary options, one of which allows you to "Choose a special category". There is no report that will display this field's value.

    This is a HUGE problem when working with large amounts of product data. Right now verifying data and bulk updating product/service information as it pertains to this field value is not possible in any version of QuickBooks Online.

    How can I verify that my items are coded correctly without opening each individual item? This is extremely impractical when you have hundreds of items to verify/process.

    It would also be amazing if you could actually make changes directly to the Product/Services list rather than only having the option to upload a CSV file.
