Hard to understand how processed some food-related expense items really are
When reviewing food-related expenses, I often struggle to understand how “processed” certain products really are just by looking at the invoice description or item name. Recently I started using a small tool called UPFScan to check ingredient lists and get a rough idea of the processing level of different products, and it was surprising to see that some cream cheese brands that look identical on paper are actually very different in terms of how processed they are. This made me think it could be really useful if QuickBooks allowed adding simple tags or notes related to ingredient complexity or processing level for food items, as that kind of information would help businesses that care about quality control, health standards, or compliance. Is anyone else using external tools like this, or have their own workflow for tracking this type of detail?
