From my experience, activating an eSIM is usually pretty straightforward. In most cases, the carrier sends you a QR code that you scan through your phone’s mobile network settings. After scanning, the phone downloads the eSIM profile and you just confirm a few prompts. Sometimes the carrier may ask you to verify your account or restart the device, but it’s rarely complicated. Signal reliability has been basically the same as with a physical SIM for me, since it still connects to the same cellular networks.
