1. Cancel the New Estimate Acceptance Process

   My QBO was recently updated and now it request me an acceptance process before I can convert the estimate to an invoice.

   How can I disable it?? It's now taking me a long time to process my estimates into invoices.

2. Add a Project Name field to Estimate & Ability to enter mark-up % or $

   Two great additions to Estimates would be to have a fileld labeled "Project" so it can be tracked and separated from the customer's name if desired.

   As a general contractor we want to send an estimate to the customer's nmae, but we name our projects based on the street name address. Our work-around for this has been to enter the Customer as street name: MILTON 1377
   The problem is we do not want the estimate to be addressed to MILTON 1377 instead of Jane Doe.

   Second item, I have seen lots of requests going back as far as 2018 (farther back I am sure) is add the ability to incllude a Mark-up as either a % or $ that would then calculate the Cost + MU = Retail

   Example:
   Description QTY Cost MU Type MU Value Retail
   Demo 1 $1,000.00 25% $250.00 $1,250.00

   The Mark-up Type and Value should not display on the customer's copy of the Estimate (ie: when it is printed out)

3. PO & Quotation Template

   The PO & Quotation template could not be customized to user needs according to the business nature. There is an option to send the PO digitally but the form still contain a section whereby the person need to fill up the approver details and date.

4. Provide the ability to filter on STATUS for custom reports

   Everyone should have the ability to filter on STATUS for custom Estimate reports. Without it, we have to use a combination of custom date ranges and custom fields to properly filter - highly inefficient.

9. service rate cannot be negative

   I prefer to give my discounts as line items as I only discount my services not parts. QBO allows the service rate to be -0.15 (for 15% discount) but in the app i cannot set a negative rate.

10. I own a service business. Why did work orders feature get left out when When you switch to the online version. QB won’t fix so I am leaving.

    I am one of I’m sure thousands of service businesses that is using Quickbooks. I have been using QuickBooks for 18 years for my small business unfortunately I made the switch from Desktop to Online in 2021, big mistake. Quickbooks left out the work order feature in the online version and if I would have known that I would have never switched. Service businesses use work orders to assign work to their work crews working in the field so that their crews will have the scope of work, job site location and the customer contact information on the work order to do their assigned work from. It has been a complete nightmare trying to verbally communicate this information to my field work crews since 2021. it doesn’t exist in the online version. I have been complaining about this since I switched in 2021 and Quickbooks will not make the fix. The correct order is as follows, create an estimate then email to customer, customer views the estimate then approves the estimate, then the status of the estimate changes to approved, Then the work needs to take place and the estimate needs to be converted to a works order to be issued to the work crews to perform the work, after the work is complete then the work order/ estimate gets converted to an invoice and emailed to the customer for payment. I hope this is clear and detailed enough. This is my last effort to get QB the make the fix. I have had enough so I’m looking to go elsewhere .

11. Estimate CTA Display Botton

    The same message is displayed three times in three different ways:

    1. Preview before sending the estimate: "Print and Save" button.
    2. Preview in email from the client's view: "Review and Pay" button.
    3. View from QuickBooks page: button "Accept or Decline".

    I've spoken today with Ringo from the Quickbooks help desk and he told me to raise a suggestion here.

    I think that the bottom should be the same message every time the client gets confused (it happen to my clients)

12. Excel Import for Estimates!

    The Estimate function would be much easier to use if it supported an Excel import feature just like Invoices. I need to enter several hundred estimate line items for my project and use progress billing. Please create an import interface!

13. Add image or product image inside the ESTIMATES rather than attaching it

    It would be hard if its not inside the ESTIMATES other clients still need to ask which is which. You should come up with an idea where you can upload the product image directly to the estimates not as attachments

15. Option to upgrade to the new Estimates/invoice layout

    I spent 2 hours speaking to representatives about this issue. The goal is to send an estimate, have the customer accept the estimate online, and have a deposit requested automatically.
    The OLD invoice layout does not allow this. The new one does. There is no way to upgrade from the old one to the new one. The representative suggested i create a new QBO account, which I did, and it had the new layout. Then i would need to backup all of my data from the old account and move it over manually. Its crazy to request that from a customer, when there could just be an option to use the new template. On top of that, the NEW account i made, reverted back to the old template after creating a few estimates so it ended up being a useless venture. PLEASE let me upgrade to the new template!

16. Add a PPrice Column in the estimate/invoice that only the business owner can see

    I just moved over from using the QuickBooks 2014. Much to my surprise I have been using a feature that is critial to my business that you don't have in your cloud version. I have been using a PPrice (Purchased Price) column on my estimates and invoices that helps me determine what I will change the customer per item. As a Master Gardener I purchase plants from many nurserys and list my cost in that column. The PPrice Column disappears when I print or send the invoice/estimate to the client or vendor. I have been relying on the feature so that I can track my cost effectively. It was a feature I leaned on all of the time and I'm lost without it. It would be nice if you are going to program it and it also could give me at the end of the column a total PPrice so that in a glance I can know exactly what my profit would be for each client. I'm now paying a monthly rate for the use of a tool that right now is not meeting my business needs. I would be happy to talk with someone or share my screen on what the old system was providing me that this currently can't provide. This is a very urgent need of mine and would be grateful if someone would follow up with me and let me know if this feature can be added in as soon a possible.
