What is DNS and Why Is It Important?
DNS, or Domain Name System, is essentially the internet’s phonebook. It translates human-readable domain names (like www.playstation.com) into IP addresses that computers use to identify each other on the network. When you enter a URL into your web browser, your device queries a DNS server to find the corresponding IP address. If the DNS server fails to respond, your device can't connect to the internet, resulting in the "DNS server not responding" error.
