Not good. Not able to pay a certain amount. Took the entire payment automatically.
I got the invoice. Put my bank routing number and account in. Was supposed to pay half up front. But it took the entire invoice amount without giving me the option to put in a payment amount.

The amount due when you log into Quick Books never matches the invoice. Very hard to track what you owe.
It is so hard to track what I owe. The invoice says 1 thing then you click on the Quickbooks link to pay and it populates a different payment amount. So you can't really track what you are paying or how much you really owe and reconciling becomes difficult. If you are going to have an online payment system, the online due amount should match the invoice amount.

Include a link to a downloadable W-9 for the payee
Let the payee upload a W-9 to Intuit, and allow payors to download it. This will save going back and forth on emails with the payee to obtain this item that is essential for IRS compliance on filing 1099-MISC at year end.

Customer service for payers
There's no way for payers to get customer service in the event something goes wrong. I had a payment go to the wrong bank and it took several weeks to get it sorted out. I had to rely on my payee to contact Intuit to figure out where my money went.

Don't send the invoice on the day of the treatment. wait till 7 days before due date
Don't send any invoice until 7-10 before it is due. When you send the first one on the day of service, it will get put aside and probably forgotten.
That is UNLESS you send paper statement, then I can put in my stack of bills to pay on certain days. If you insist on sending all statements email, which I do not like, then just send one 7 days before payment is du.5 votes -

Your Error
Your Error msg when attempting to pay by credit card online is lame....it does not give any indication as to what the error is....and 'try again later' has no value. You should provide error info so that the problem can be addressed and corrected......try error codes!!! Frustrating and amateur software. My error experience was simply updating the expiration date on my credit card, but you provided no indication with your generic msg. 10 minutes wasted investigating this problem & correcting it. Not user-friendly.
