3. Problems in QuickBooks Invoice Online Checkout Integration

   I have recently been facing certain problems such as the QuickBooks Invoice Online Checkout integrated into my website, https://pythononlinecompiler.com/.

   The idea is to let users make payments right from the QuickBooks, which has its own secure payment gateway.

   There have been some problems during the integration and test phases of this functionality that I would like to point out and discuss.

   Problem 1: Inconsistent Order Processing

   One of the issues is with inconsistent payment processing. All transactions generally go through but sometimes get an error message back. It is not consistently failing, so it has been hard to diagnose. The error logs seem to point toward a timeout problem, but the details of the cause are still vague.

   Has anyone else had this problem with QuickBooks Online Checkout and, if yes, how did you resolve it?

   Another issue can be related to delay in confirmation of payment.
   After having made any payment, it waits for some time before the confirmation reaches them and gets updated into the system.

   This is rather frustrating because users, indeed, expect an instant response after completing a transaction. I've checked the API settings, and everything seems fine, yet the delay persists. QuickBooks might be misbehaving here, or should I go back and look into some server-related issue?

   Issue 3: Python-based Applications Integration

   Since my site, https://pythononlinecompiler.com/, is based on Python, there have been some in-house codes required to integrate QuickBooks Invoice Online Checkout.

   I followed the official QuickBooks API documentation but still have compatibility issues. In particular, the SDK for QuickBooks Online does not actually support the Python-based application, and there are many unexpected bugs and errors during integration.

   Therefore, I am looking for someone who has already integrated QuickBooks Online Checkout with any Python applications and may recommend libraries or provide some workarounds.

   I am now seeking advice from the developer community on insights and possible solutions to these challenges.

   QuickBooks is a beautiful tool, but these problems greatly weight down on the seamless user experience that I aim to provide on https://pythononlinecompiler.com/.

   Any advice, resources, or sharing of experiences on how to fix these issues and make this checkout process better for my users would be greatly appreciated.

   Also, if you have suggestions on other payment gateways that can integrate well with Python-based applications, do let me know. I'm going with QuickBooks for the accounting module, so I could use an alternative to QuickBooks for online payment processing if it provides a great user experience.

6. Invoice layout

   The new online invoice layout and function SUCK. I hate how the running total is not at the top anymore, I HATE how when I want to print the invoice before taking payment it will open the printable version in the SAME tab instead of opening a new one, and then if i print it and push the back button, all the information on the invoice is GONE and so i have to go back to the client file to open the invoice back up. Also, when i finish an invoice, instead of going back to the client file, it kicks me back to the dashboard so if there is something else i have to do for the same client, i have to go all the way back into their file where before, when i finished and invoice, it would take me right back to the client file i was working on. The new layout is confusing and has made the program work SO SLOW. Please bring back features from the old layout that worked. NEW IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER!!!

10. Allow autonumber option when creating invoices in QB Online.

    There should be an option to let the software auto-assign a invoice number in chronological order when an invoice is created instead of making you enter it. It did this before but just stopped 7/26/24.

11. Hidden columns when Invoicing

    Why does Quickbooks Desktop allow for hidden / internal invoice columns and Quickbooks Online does not? I need to switch to the Online version and physically cannot because of this drastic difference. Quickbooks, can you add this feature to the Online invoicing version? I need to have hidden or internal columns to depict product sku, rrp vss trade price, ordering details. All things the client does not need to see on their invoice, but crucial to have internally.

    Instead of the default setting when setting up on invoice which is Accounts Receivable (A/R). QB should allow more customization to allocate different (A/R) accounts for business that have more sophisticated accounting.

14. Credit card fee

    As small businesses we can’t keep up with all the credit card fees so we turn the pay with credit card option off. I’m sure I speak for a lot of business if QuickBooks was to charge the fee directly to the client if they selected to pay with credit card then we would all have our pay with credit card option on since the fees would no longer fall on us. Right now 95% of all my clients send me the payment via Zelle due to no fees but I have many that would prefer to pay with a credit card to get the credit rewards and wouldn’t mind paying a fee on top.

    They layout of the invoice when pulled up on my phone was a mess. No columns,$ signs. Confusing on the amount to be paid. Not sure if your program or person entering? Terrible. I called the business where generated from.

    Bank Trust Management pays all bills that are forwarded to them. As of today they do not offer electronic billmforwarding.
