How to Avoid the “Review and Pay” Notification When Sending Estimates?
Hello everyone,
I'm sending quotes using QBO Estimates, but the emails always display “Review and Pay,” leading customers to mistakenly believe they need to pay immediately.

Quickbooks online needs 'sales orders' that convert from estimates like a proper system
Quickbooks desktop previously had a proper sales order system. You would create an estimate "quote" for your customer. This would then be converted into a sales order and then invoiced.
This whole process is commonplace in the uk. We were forced to moved to Quickbooks online and even after a number of years this has still not been activated. Apparantly in the US, people dont use sales orders, so it has got ignored. The sales order feature is for linking online website orders, which is not suitable. Come on Quickbooks, lets get some features people need.

Don't override the manually entered sales tax in an estimate when converting to an invoice
For years, the sales tax manually entered in an estimate was carried over to the invoice when using the feature to convert an estimate to an invoice. Sometime around June, QBO made a change that now overrides the sales tax amount entered manually in the estimate by recalculating the sales tax. If QBO's calculations were correct for everyone, then there wouldn't need to be a way to manually enter the sales tax, but there is. Estimate automatically convert to invoice upon deposit
QBO used to automatically convert an estimate to an invoice upon deposit. This has changed but it was working well for some. Consider adding this as a preference.
