I'm not even sure why someone hasn't complained about it before. QB online has the ability to add sub-customers and at certain versions create projects. The point of a sub-customer (or a project) is to be able to assign time / expense to it, then provide an invoice to the customer showing the detail/expenses grouped by that level. Currently the only level that conmes in at whatever rate you charge for that item. So for example. The system allows your to create sub-customers and roll them up to the customer it doesn't allow you to show the grouping detail, for example:

Customer (main)
sub-customer 7 hour
sub-customer 2 hour
sub-customer 1 hour

Total Hours 10 hours

The only grouping option is by service. So my only option is to have one large time entry for all sub-customers or to show (in this case) 26 line itmes on an invoice to ungroup the time. I don't really have a vialble work around. I would have to create a different service for every sub-customer or project in the entire system. Assuming the rates were even the same. So I would have to create multiple rates for each subcustomer. Not praticle at all for project tracking. And the upgrade to Pro which does project tracking works the same way.
