   When the new currency tax hit in Path of Exile 2, I was totally caught off guard. Trading in Wraeclast has always required strategy, but this change forced me to rethink everything I knew about dealing with PoE 2 currency. At first, I panicked—my usual flipping methods weren’t as profitable, and the margins shrunk overnight. But after some smart adjustments, I’ve managed to stay ahead, and I want to share exactly how I adapted—and how you can, too.

   Step 1: Shift to High-Demand Currency for Trading
   The tax hike means low-margin trades like Alteration Orbs and Chromatic Orbs aren’t worth the effort anymore. Instead, I pivoted to focusing on Divine Orbs, Exalted Orbs, and Orb of Annulment. These higher-tier PoE 2 currencies hold value longer, are more liquid on the market, and make better use of trade fees.

   Start by hoarding these during farming sessions or flipping undervalued bundles when prices dip. Watch trade chat or marketplaces and grab deals early. When you buy PoE 2 currency, look for sellers offering discounts for bulk to maximize ROI.

   Step 2: Farm Smarter, Not Harder
   Mapping and farming zones like The Dreadveil or The Gloomfang Depths are great for consistent PoE 2 currency drops. Equip gear with increased rarity and quantity mods, and run maps with high pack density. Using Vaal Orbs on corrupted maps often results in juicy returns if done right.

   In PoE 2, modifiers on your gear, passive tree, and Atlas can stack up to improve currency drops. I focused on boosting “Monsters drop additional currency” and “Increased chance for duplicated currency drops,” which added up fast.

   Step 3: Bulk Crafting to Create Currency
   Instead of trading away everything I find, I now use some of my PoE 2 currency to craft valuable gear. Using Chaos Orbs, Regal Orbs, and Essences, I create semi-meta items for builds that are popular this league. Then I sell them for Divines, bypassing smaller trades entirely.

   Not only does this avoid tax-heavy multiple trades, but it also helps me stockpile desirable currency fast. Keep an eye on popular meta builds—items tailored for them sell fast and for a premium.

   Step 4: Use Trusted Platforms
   With the market in flux, trust becomes even more important. I used u4gm for a quick boost early in the season. The process was smooth, the price was fair, and it gave me the starting capital to invest smartly. Just one transaction gave me enough breathing room to stabilize my strategy.

   Whether you want to farm or buy PoE 2 currency, always be sure your source is safe and efficient.

   Step 5: Make a Trade Network
   Finally, I built a small circle of reliable players and friends. We exchange currency directly, avoiding taxes and delays. We also tip each other off on market changes—like when Blessed Orbs or Awakened Sextants are suddenly in demand. This personal network has become more valuable than ever.
