Custom Form Styles / Custom Invoice Templates in DOCX
Existing invoice templates look basic and have very limited customisation options, which doesn’t allow us to create beautifully designed documents. I personally find it super important for our brand to stand out from the competition. We currently use Xero and they support DOCX templates, but we consider switching to QuickBooks because it integrates with our CRM system.
I found that Custom Invoice Templates were previously available via QuickBooks Labs and for some reason they have been disabled for new accounts since 06/09/2021.
Please bring this feature back. Ideally, it should be available not only for Invoices but for Quotes, Statements and other documents to make them look consistent.

My client has several companies that have used uploaded custom templates for years and they are very angry about this feature being discontinued. This is ridiculous and needs to be fixed immediately.

It is not possible to add more columns in the invoice templates.

It is disappointing that you cannot customise the invoice templates to suit what tax regulatory authorities want. Imagine just editing the word such as invoice number to document number it is not possible. The information is greyed out.

Unfortunately, QB just doesn't care about their client's needs. I guess this is the scourge of modern society. Everyone wants to get paid, no one wants to do their job.

We require the Custom Form Styles / Custom Invoice Templates facility to be brought back to Quickbooks Ireland. Our QBO invoices need to be the same as our printed sales invoices. We have been with Intuit for many years and have had no issues when using the Desktop version. We will move to a Sage Accounting product if this functionality is not made available.

The customization features in QuickBooks are HORRIBLE!!!!!! The templates they provide are LAME!!! Having this feature could've saved me from losing clients, saved me time and effort wasted on inefficiency of sending invoices from a different program then posting them in QuickBooks. I wish I had known about this feature before they turned it off. The fact that they turned it off just because they wanted to upsets me because this is not a dictatorship. Most using it know what they are doing for the most part. BRING IT BACK!!! Meanwhile I will be searching for other software in lieu of QuickBooks. This issue and the issue of not being able to do my own payroll adjustments is enough for me. I used to work for Intuit and I should be able to make my own corrections and forms, especially since I knew more about payroll, taxes, work arounds, and CREATING FORMS then they do!!!!

Absolutely agree with you, Daniel.
We keep using Xero because they have these templates. I've been chasing QB for years regarding this feature, but they simply don't care. -

This is critical functionality. QB talks about customisable invoices - these default templates are very basic. I have large customers that require specific information and styles on their invoice and it is impossible to achieve with the default customisation options.
