Please send reminders before a late fee is charged. It seems punitive.

When I paid my account for the first time, 3-4 days after the due date (which I admit didn't keep track of), I got a surprise late fee. Some mention of the fee in the original invoice--amount and date charged--would be appropriate.

A gentle reminder if we are to be charged a late fee. As of now, a notice goes out one time at the beginning of the month. 30 days later a late charge is added. Life happens. My son received a cancer diagnosis and there was a whirlwind of activity for two weeks. I have never had a late charge. I agree with the original posters sentence. It does feel punitive.
