OST File Damaged After Sudden Laptop Shutdown - Any Repair Option?
My laptop turned off unexpectedly while Outlook was running, and now I can not open my mailbox. Outlook says the OST file can not be accessed. I am guessing it got damaged during the shutdown. How can I repair or restore this file safely?

If your OST file is damaged from a sudden shutdown of your laptop, there are two ways to approach the issue. The first, manual option can help repair, but can be somewhat overwhelming for a beginner or non-technical user. The second approach is the Softaken OST Repair Software, which I found to be a trustworthy and effective tool to have when needing to repair a damaged OST file. For example, it is very easy to restore and repair files without having to reorganize the folder structure. Another nice feature is that it allows you to repair only the data you need and avoid fixing the OST file. Lastly, you are allowed to download a demo version to test out the functionality and determine if it would be an effective and efficient resource to use.

If your OST file has been damaged due to an unexpected laptop shutdown, there are two solutions. The first, manual option can repair, but is not useful for the beginner or non-technical user. The second option is the FixVare OST Converter tool, which is the most reliable and efficient solution to repair crashed OST files. It is easy to deal with restore and repair damaged OST files while preserving folder hierarchy. Another great feature is it accomplishes without repairing all of the OST and you can repair only the data needed. You also have a demo version to download and check functionality to use effectively.
