I was surprised at a $25 convenience fee to pay online from a bank checking account. I would have just mailed a check if it I had known I'd be charged a fee that gets the contractor paid instantaneously - seems like they would be thrilled to get paid online instead of charging me fee to do it that way (even if it was a relatively small fee). A bit irritating.....
