It seems you told my browser to open a Google page. I *DO*NOT* want you sharing my financial data w Google. CAN IT!
When may payee's email sent me to the payment page, my network monitoring software indicated you were trying to open a link to Google. Most users wouldn't see this surreptitious link to Google so it is a REALLY SLIMY business tactic.
If you DO share info with Google, you should get an explicit opt-in from users, and only after describing what data you will let Google take from my transaction. This is the sort of deception that invites restrictive laws. I will cheer on those laws.
I don't suppose you told my payee, when you set up QuickBooks payments, that its customers would be surveilled and their business reputation damaged, so that further underscores why you should stop your current practice ASAP. But I will advise them that this payment approach takes them down a notch in my eyes.
