Deifne the work and cost better for each project.
Dear Mike- I don't like to delay paying a bill, but I have a problem with this one. Not huge, but just enough to rub the wrong way, but I just paid it. You & crew have spent a lot of time at my place since you started business. I have always used your company because I like the results. Because of that, I have also referred you relatives and friends When the big blow came through in September, we lost about 20 or more trees, 3rd storm in 3 years to take my trees. Our driveway was blocked. Chris happened to come by the next morning. He said it would be $1000 to clear the driveway and the whole job $6000, but could not get at it right away. My kids & nephew cleared the drive. They stripped the trees and cut up the large branches and burned most. Some of the cut wood was stacked along the drive along with a few piles of branches. They also stripped all the branches from the trees laying in the woods & burned them. Chris & crew came back a few days later to "clean the driveway" and cut up the pine tree laying in the back yard. That work was $1200. Your crew came back weeks later and cut up the trees in the woods and stacked the 6 foot pieces at the top of hill, They also took down a big birch a in the yard and a big twin oak behind the guest house. That work was about $3500, which was fair. There is no way that the "driveway cleanup" and cutting up the pine should have cost a third of the cost of the other work.
You still have to remove the stumps so I hope that won't be too much.
