Set it up so that it has an end date to coincide with end of year (or an optional end date), so that it coincides with end of the HOA dues for the current year. Would have to input a new invoice and/or amount for the following year.

I think have payments coming out automatically every month is a great idea. It save me from remembering to pay it and having to log in everytime and enter my info.
