QB Desktop has this handled properly.
Emails going to customers from a Quickbooks default address causes several issues:
1. Invoice goes to SPAM
2. If we type in the recipient's email incorrectly, we will never receive the error message because it will return to QB who will not notify us.
3. The option of using a GMAIL account as the 'from address' is COMPLETELY unprofessional. Businesses use their name as their email, not GMAIL. That makes the client and their server look for another email address to receive correspondence and may still end up in SPAM as a result.
4. The invoice is NOT in our business email as a sent item so that it can be re-sent to the customer in the event that they need to see when it was originally sent.
