"Credit card credit" transaction type missing when creating Bank Rules for Credit Card accounts
Description:
There is a UI/backend data validation bug in the Bank Rules engine. When creating a new bank rule explicitly isolated to a Credit Card account with the transaction direction set to "Money in," the dropdown menu for "Transaction type" fails to display "Credit card credit." Instead, it only shows "Deposit," "Transfer," and "Credit card payment."
This occurs both when building a rule from scratch on the Rules page and when attempting to generate a rule directly from a credit card refund transaction inside the Bank Transactions feed. The system incorrectly defaults the transaction type to "Deposit."
Expected Behavior:
When a user selects a Credit Card ledger account and filters for "Money in," the Rules engine should expose "Credit card credit" as a selectable transaction type, mirroring the actual manual transaction forms available in QBO.
Impact:
Users are forced to use the "Deposit" workaround to map vendor refunds or statement rebates back to expense accounts, which causes inconsistent transaction-type naming conventions across the general ledger. Please update the Bank Rules dropdown logic to recognize credit card account metadata properly.
