How do I export Office 365 emails to PST after employee departure?
A company recently had an employee leave the organization, and the HR team requested a backup of the employee’s Office 365 mailbox before the account was disabled. The IT administrator first considered using Outlook’s manual export option, but since the mailbox contained years of emails and attachments, the process seemed slow and difficult to manage.
To make the task easier, the admin used SysInfo Office 365 Backup Tool. After logging in with the Microsoft 365 admin account, the software showed all user mailboxes in one dashboard. The admin selected the former employee’s mailbox, chose PST as the export format, and started the process. Within some time, all mailbox folders, emails, contacts, and attachments were saved locally in PST format.
This backup later helped the company access important communication records even after the employee account had been removed from Office 365.
