why did the CLASS column suddenly disappear in QBO transactions: expenses, checks, bank deposits, invoices ???
why did the CLASS column suddenly disappear in QBO transactions: expenses, checks, bank deposits, invoices ??? I've always had class tracking ON, and now I'm told that this is "part of the system's design." After years of using CLASS TRACKING, this doesn't make sense. I've even recently received strange error messages. This makes no sense after using QuickBooks for many years.

today they told me Classic reporting is being removed for all on May 22, 2026. This is after they admit that Modern PL by Class doesn't add up and is exporting different numbers to Excel. Why they are intentionally destroying their brand loyalty with a product that cannot be trusted is beyond me. All of the accountants at my firm LOVED QB. And now we all hate it. Why would destroy their product and reputation instead of leaving Classic as an easy option? Now they are removing it and leaving a product that can't be trusted to do basic math. We are supposed to spend an hour on each report redoing the formulas in Excel? Now would be a great time for someone to launch a similar product that works and is not unviersally despised.
