I think the way to avoid people copy-and-pasting a wrong account # into the confirmation field is NOT to disable pasting into the confirmation account # field, INSTEAD, it is to disable copying from the first account # field. My default practice is to copy the account number from my online banking. I should be able to paste it twice into both QB fields. The thing you're trying to guard against is someone manually typing it incorrectly into the first account # field and then copying the (wrong) # and pasting it into the confirming account # field. You can achieve this by disabling copying from the first field. Also, the safeguard is probably not very effective anyway since many people probably look at the first field when typing into the second field (instead of looking at their checkbook or bank account statement).
