Clicking on "Pay Invoice" should prompt option to pay "Full Amount" or "Other Amount"
When a person clicks on "Pay Invoice", they should be prompted click a radial button for "full amount" or "other". If they choose other, they can enter in the desired amount.
The majority of online payment systems are set up this way, so I was caught off guard when the full amount processed without asking me to verify the desired amount or enter an "other" amount.
Thank You for considering my recommendation.

Sometimes one wants to spilit between two credit cards for either amount of credit left on card, or to optimize a card benefit, e.g. need $1,000 on a particular card against say a $1,500 bill, but do not want the extra $500 on that card as once the benefit from the first card is satisfied, more points from the second card.

I wanted to pay the balance of my statement, rather than the invoice amount. I hadn't realised there was an older outstanding invoice to pay. So I had to do the pay process twice. Bit clunky and annoying

Very frustrating not to be able to control portion of payment wanting to make. Shouldn't be all or nothing. You'll end up with nothing more than all!

Agree with many of the comments. My contractor requests 50% upfront and said I did not have to pay in full until the job was complete. Both times it made me pay in full (and the job is not yet complete). Very frustrating.

I was told that I needed to pay half of the amount due for to be done at my home on November 17th. The pay portal would not allow me to only pay half so I paid the invoice in full for the work to be completed. This could be a problem for many people. They might not have the funds to pay all of the amount up front. Thank you, Debbie Brothers

I want to pay the full amount. It only let me pay 1 month?? that’s crazy!!

"Payment Amount" should be BLANK . Allow the payee to enter the amount to be paid avoiding an accidental payment in full !!!

I agree with above, right now ...i clicked on the amount to edit and it charged the entire amount! Not happy.

Thisi s really needed to prevent accidental over payments. Thank you!

Strongly agree that "other amount" is needed, esp. in event there is some unresolved issue around the billing or services rendered; this would allow a partial payment. Also, as Anonymous suggested, it would allow for a tip.

This could also allow for a tip for those who did the service. I was very pleased with the results at my house. My Trek Deck was better than new when they got done. Thanks to them for a wonderful job.

This would help when paying only the "deposit" portion of an invoice.

I actually wanted to pay a "tip" and give a little more than the invoice and I wasn't able to do that.
