Clicking on "Pay Invoice" should prompt option to pay "Full Amount" or "Other Amount"
When a person clicks on "Pay Invoice", they should be prompted click a radial button for "full amount" or "other". If they choose other, they can enter in the desired amount.
The majority of online payment systems are set up this way, so I was caught off guard when the full amount processed without asking me to verify the desired amount or enter an "other" amount.

Please allow for us to choose a deposit amount nice and easy in QuickBooks on the invoice edit screen, so it only shows the deposit requested at first to the client. We keep getting paid in full because clients don't read and then they want a refund that costs us money. I came from Square and they have this, with many options. I need this to stay with your baked in service and not go back. It's been a pain, and clients are not happy with us because of this.

I did the same thing! It's been nearly 4 years since this suggestion was posted, why hasn't there been any action especially when it's difficult or impossible to reverse a payment once it's done.

The agreement with Bregenzer’s Inc is that I would pay half now and pay the balance after the work is completed. Your system does not give that option. I would not use Inuit Quick Books again unless that is changed.

There's no place where I can find to click to pay a partial payment, not the total amount.

I did not appreciate having to pay the full amount on an order that hasn’t been fulfilled. I was only required by the vendor to pay half as a deposit, but this didn’t give me that option. Not good business practice.

Allow payment in full to pay past balances.
In 2020 I went all year without being able to pay a forgotten payment in February, causing extra work for staff and a big hassle for us at the end of the year.
Otherwise I am very impressed with the ease of paying this way. -

There were optional items on the invoice that I didn't want to contribute to, there needed to be an add on option

I only meant to pay half of the $4900. as a bank transfer. Instead it charged me cc charge.

This is the first invoice we received.
Perhaps you sent the first invoice to an incorrect email.
I like the system you have and I pay the invoice as soon as I receive it.
