If I have a past due payment and a current month payment due, don't state on the invoice " Your invoice is ready!

I find it confusing...and then when I go to pay I have to make 2 separate payments which requires me to click on the invoice tab and then pay each individually. I just find the process on QB confusing as a customer. Note: this is the only merchant I pay using QB and it is also the only merchant I seem to 'miss' paying. I have not had a single missed payment on any other invoices other than the ones I get from this merchant and QB. I'll take the blame but I don't understand what I am doing wrong to constantly have missed payments only with QB.
