Custom Data Fields for Products and Services
We need the ability to add custom data fields to Products and/or Services. The requested new facility shall allow for unlimited (or large number) of custom data fields of different types such as number, date, text, or picklist. Example is product Dimensions, Shipping Weight, UPC code, EAN code, ASIN code, Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price, Minimum Advertised Price, Standard Price, Sales Price, type of Packaging, expiration date. Not having these fields requires rigging/including this information in the "Description" field or other workarounds. This is a major problem and drives customers to competitor solutions.

Really need custom fields available on products. E.g. Manufacturer, preferably as a dropdown list. The business case is that we sell products made by other companies and reporting on these by manufacturer is critical. We buy these products from distributors so need both Vendor and Manufacturer fields. This is a feature available in QuickBooks Enterprise, please bring it to Online Advanced.
