The green amount line wouldn't let me select it do alter the amount paid. I did NOT want to pay the amount I did, but there was no other option. FIX IT!

Amount to be paid did not agree with invoice balance, but I could not edit the amount being paid to agree with invoice.

The process is very frustrating. I could not edit my amount being paid. I can't see any past amounts or dates and the amount owed did not match the amount it was letting me pay.

It is not obvious that the payment amount is a field that can be clicked on and edited. Add something to the line, like an 'X', to the right side of the field which is universally understood to delete the contents of the field so you can enter a new amount. This is a basic human interface tweak.
