Do NOT Charge a Convenience Fee!
A $25 "convenience" fee is extortion and reveals Intuit's parasitic business model. Surely, every tax preparer and accountant already pays for a QuickBooks license and/or a processing fee for each use? The tax professional obviously passes those fees to the customer. Is that not enough for a business that is enables and supports a byzantine system of taxation? The US government already knows how much tax I owe or not and could invoice me directly, but that will never happen because of lobbyists (and you know this). The option to select
The option to select payment date popped up briefly for me once, but would not allow me to select a different date. After that, it wouldn’t open anymore. I hit the pay button thinking I would get one last review of all payment details and another chance to edit or change the payment date. Instead it processed payment immediately with no review. Your technology and process flow are not the best! I was using an iPad gen 9 with iOS.
