   Starting a small automobile shop in Ranchi can be a great business idea if you are interested in cars, bikes, and vehicle repairs or parts. Ranchi is a growing city with a rising number of vehicles on the road, so the demand for automobile services is always there. But before you open your shop, it is very important to understand the documents you need and the steps to start your business the right way.

   First of all, you need to choose the type of automobile shop you want to open. It can be a repair shop, a spare parts shop, a bike or car accessories store, or a mix of all. Based on this, you will need different tools and setup. Once you are clear about your shop type, the first step is to get your business registered. For this, you need to apply for a trade license from the local municipal corporation in Ranchi. This is a basic permission that allows you to run a shop legally in a particular area.

   Along with the trade license, you also need to apply for a GST registration if your yearly turnover is expected to cross ₹20 lakhs. GST registration is important if you plan to sell vehicle parts, accessories, or any goods. Without a GST number, you cannot issue proper bills or claim tax benefits.
