Helpful write-up. In my experience this one often clears up after freeing some disk space and running the update again as administrator, so it's good to have the steps documented in one place for anyone hitting it mid-update.

Totally agree on the advanced reporting point. Being able to save report templates and export straight to PDF from the phone would cut down a lot of the back-and-forth with the desktop version. Faster switching between the Invoices and Reports sections would help too.
These are solid suggestions. A simpler dashboard with quick access to invoices, expenses and reports would make daily bookkeeping much smoother, and better offline support is long overdue for people who work on the move. Reliable notifications and smoother navigation would help a lot too. On a separate note, since a few of us here also run side ventures in sports and entertainment, I've found https://1win.biz.pk/ to be a well-organised hub for live sports markets and games with clean, fast navigation — a good example of the kind of uncluttered mobile experience we're asking QuickBooks to match.
