We use QuickBooks Desktop for Mac and need two or more people to work in the same company file at the same time. The company file is stored on one Mac, but the other Mac computers cannot open it in multi-user mode.

Sometimes the second user can see the shared folder, but QuickBooks will not open the company file. Other times, QuickBooks opens the file but says it is already in use or does not allow both users to work at the same time.

We have checked Wi-Fi and restarted both Macs, but the problem keeps returning. What causes QuickBooks Multi-User Mode Not Working on Mac, and what is the correct setup?
