It’s seems like a smoke detector always runs low on battery and starts chirping in the middle of the night. That’s what mine did, and changing the battery twice didn’t help, meaning we needed a new detector. We decided to change out all 6 in the house since they were 8 years old. I called Excel Electric and they came out that afternoon and changed them all. Thanks much for your help! Chris
