The roof work itself
The roof work itself was fine, but I was very disappointed to learn — only at the time of final payment — that Walton charges customers extra simply to use modern payment methods. A 1–3% “convenience fee” on an invoice of several thousand dollars adds up quickly, and it was never mentioned in the sales process or in the brochure.
In today’s world, absorbing standard credit card or ACH processing costs is part of doing business. Surprising customers with unexpected fees at the end feels unprofessional and leaves a poor impression, even when the workmanship is otherwise solid.
For anyone considering Walton, I’d encourage you to clarify the payment process in advance. Transparency upfront would go a long way toward avoiding frustration at the end.
