QuickBooks Database Server Manager helps QuickBooks Desktop users access company files stored on a network and supports multi-user mode. It scans folders containing company files, monitors network access, and helps workstations connect to the shared data.

To configure it, install the Database Server Manager on the host or server computer, open QuickBooks Database Server Manager, select the company-file folders, and scan them. If users cannot access the company file, verify hosting settings, network permissions, firewall configuration, and that the required QuickBooks services are running. Restarting the Database Server Manager can also resolve temporary connection problems.
