Network expansion in challenging environments: solutions for industrial facilities
Expanding a network in an industrial setting is way harder than I expected. We’re working on upgrading connectivity in a large manufacturing plant, and the biggest challenge is getting stable connections across different sections of the facility. There are a lot of electrical interferences, long distances, and areas where running new cables is nearly impossible due to the layout. We’ve tried Wi-Fi, but it’s unreliable in certain spots because of metal structures blocking signals. Has anyone dealt with this kind of situation before? What solutions actually worked for you?
