Create and Manage Projects in the Mobile App
I want to be able to create and manage projects in the QuickBooks Mobile app

Project # to auto populate in ascending order as new projects are created
There needs to be a way that a project # is auto assigned to a project when it is created just like it does for an estimate or Invoice. The numbers would ascend as new projects are created.

Add a project/customer column in the expense list.
Add a column in expense list to check if all expense are linked to a project/customer.

Be able to change billable rate per project per employee
Companies who are project based need to be able to customize the billable rate for each employee per project. It is not enough to charge a billable rate to a service item as many different staff may work on the same service item. We would have thousands of service items to support this method. I have seen this question asked many times in the forums and do not see a good solution yet.

Please separate Projects from Customer Data model
The fact that projects are treated like Customers is hindering reporting in the worst way.
I have customers who have sub customers. If I want to roll up to the parent customer, I cannot do this in many reports. Filtering by customer forces me to click every project as if they are a customer.4 votes -

If would be great if we could combine projects when I find that two have been created for the same job. We can't job cost with this error.

Allow different email addresses for project invoicing
Please allow project invoices to go to different emails than regular client invoices. We send our clients monthly invoices and have their email addresses set up in their contact information (main contact email and accounts payable email). The problem arises when we are working on a project for that client and they want the invoice to go to different people than our normal invoices. We have to make sure we change the email addresses on every project invoice. I wish there was a way to connect email addresses to the project so we don't have to remember to change them…

For Non profits, Projects should be separate from Customers. So different customers can leave a pledge to different projects that you have
For Example: Our non profit wants to build a visitors center - the project would be Visitors center. But Customers should be able to donate or pledge to this project. Expenses should be able to be billed to this project.
The way it is now, a customer cannot make a pledge to a project. (We use classes for funds so we cannot utilize this for projects)

Ability to add new customer to an existing project.
I need the ability to change a customer on an existing project. Customers can change on a project midway through. I need the existing data from the project, with the customer information for that portion. But when the customer sells, I need to be able to assign the new customer to that existing project without losing all my previous information. The only workaround I was given by customer service was to delete the project and start a new one. This would lose ALL kinds of payroll and invoice information. Ability to Search Expenses linked to Customers
When tracking large projects it would be handy if expenses could be tracked against the CUSTOMERS NAME that is selected in the BILL (whether it be billable or not). At present the only way I can enable any search function is to duplicate the customers name in the bill DESCRIPTION and not just the customer drop down menu.
