Make the presentation of the invoice and receipt more professional
Make the invoice look more "professional," write Business Name correctly. Us capital letters properly. C. B. Holmes Plumbing, LLC.
Make your "LOGO" look more professional, simplify it.
On the "BILL TO" item, include the customer's name and address.
The "SERVICE and DESCRIPTION area should tell me which address the work was done at. I may have more that one property you work on, remember these become MY tax records.
On the PAYMENT RECEIPT, make it look more professional.
e.g. C.B. HOLMES PLUMBING, LLC, 1083 Cate Rd. Brunswick, GA 31525.
The receipt should show and indicate from whom the payment was received. These will become "my" tax records so I need you to show I "paid" you.
On the invoice file name you sent by e-mail. Do not use "underscores" between the words. Use Capital Letters and run them all together. e.g. 1035-HolmesPlumbingInvoice-06-04-2019 (Notice I put the invoice number in the file name. Take good care of your BIG customers and the Commercial Customers with the way your receipts look.) (Suggestion: look at the way NALLEY BUICK * GMC does their receipts. Ask me and I'll send you one they gave me for you to look at. Simplify the LOGO, it cost money to print complex LOGOs. The stuff on there is good for business cards and advertising but not on Billing and Receipts.
You don't need the word "from," you don't need "c d," you don't need llc," Put the Invoice Number first. This will make all your receipt files I save to line up in numerical order. (Try it and see.) (Note: The IRS Auditor will say that this receipt looks like one I made up, it's not real.) The company LOGO should be on the Receipt also.
Good start, keep up the good work.
(As far as my job goes, ask Lester why he had to visit me three time to get a little one hour job done. When he explains, ask him what he could have done different to make the job in one trip? Also, ask the "helper" what he thinks. Young people are real sharp, take advantage of what they see. If you have questions about my comments please call Jeff Shadrick at 404-660-9006.
