QuickBooks Online Feature Requests

Welcome to the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests forum. Please look through the submitted requests and vote or create your own suggestion that others can vote on. Make sure to give us plenty of detail so we can better understand the problem. It is not guaranteed that any suggestions will make it into the product, but it will help us identify the features you want most.

I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Assign default class codes to item list

    Hello -
QB online is missing a very important feature: default class codes/assigning class codes to items.

When we bring over hundreds of invoices, it takes a LOT of time to manually go through every line of every invoice and apply the correct class code for that item/service.

It would be nice if, when we set up an item, we can assign a default class code to that item rather than spend several hours a week manually updating the codes on our invoices and credit memos.

A new Class field has been added to items on your Product and Services list. You can see the Class field directly under Category when adding/editing items. Adding a class to your items will save you time when entering Sales using those items as the class will automatically be assigned. Class has also been added to the Product and Services List report and the Physical Inventory Worksheet report.
